I first picked up a camera when I was five — it was my grandpa’s. The classic filmmaker origin story cliché, I know. But I remember the moment clearly, because it was the first time I realized you could freeze time with this devices.

That fascination stayed with me & never lost its pull (and eventually turned into a mild GEAR obsession).

Over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from indie short films & music videos to big-budget streaming and TV features. I enjoy both worlds: the creative freedom and playful experimentation of indie filmmaking, and the precision and detailed planning that larger productions demand.

My early work on the series WISHLIST - awarded with Deutscher Fernsehpreis & Grimme-Preis  — opened the door to projects like the Amazon Prime Original TRUNK,  the TV feature film SCHATTENMOOR (ProSieben), the web series ALMANIA (ARD), or Julien Bam's DER MANN IM MOND.

I love the process of shaping light, planning blocking, choosing lenses, and building texture & color into my images. My work as a colorist is a natural extension of that. Combining both disciplines helps me make quick, informed decisions on set, because I’m always thinking ahead toward the final image.

I also teach filmmaking workshops for kids — passing on that spark I felt when I first looked through my grandfather’s viewfinder.
